How to Choose and Install a Toilet Paper Basket
A toilet paper basket can be a great way to save space and keep your bathroom neat and tidy. They are available in a range of styles and can be used for storing toilet papers, tissues, towels and more.
Mounting the holder on the wall
Choosing the right holder for your bathroom is important to ensure that it looks and functions well. There are different types of holder to suit a variety of spaces, including mounted holders on walls and free-standing units that can be placed in the corner next to the toilet.
Some mounted toilet paper holders have a little shelf on top that can be used to store tissue boxes or wet wipes while you are using the toilet. This is a particularly handy solution if your space is limited, and you don’t want to leave the holder jutting out of the wall or taking up valuable floor space.
If you prefer to mount your holder on the wall, there are several designs that can be mounted horizontally or vertically. Some are self-adhesive, and others require screws to secure them in place.
To install the holder, use a level and pencil to measure where you want it installed on the wall. Once you have a suitable position, cut out the opening in the drywall with a drywall knife. Be sure to make the hole as straight as possible so that it does not snag on anything. Then attach construction adhesive to the holder’s back so that it holds firmly against the wall when it is in place.
